Falling Over Sideways (Sonnenbuck)

Harassed at her middle school, not taken seriously at home, and with a “perfect” older brother, Matthew, to live up to, thirteen-year-old Claire has always felt like her life was cursed. Then one morning, when she and her father are talking at breakfast, he suddenly keels over with a stroke, and suddenly everything changes. Sonnenblick is a master with realistic teen drama – expect both laughter and tears.

  1. Claire in 'Falling Over Sideways' is a very inspirational character. Sure, sometimes she gets down on herself, or thinks things couldn't get any worse, but she still ends up succeeding. Her life feels like its falling over sideways along with her friends and social life. Her dance life is messed up, and her friends may even not like her anymore, but she still gets up and smiles! I believe anyone who likes a little humor, a little drama and a little sideways, will LOVE this book!

  2. I read the book Falling Over Sideways and I really liked it. I liked this book because of the main character Claire she is awesome. Claire thinks her life is cursed because of her birthday and all of the horrible things that keep happening to her. A reason I think Claire is awesome is because her life is not the best but she still smiles. If you like drama this book is for you.
